Introduction


The pianist, Paula Garcia del Valle and the singer, Amelle Parys, invite you to join us for their next concert.

This semi-public concert has been set up to share with you their new programme, which will be performed for the very first time.


The concert is free and open to all.


The programme will consist mainly of music from the late 19th to 20th centuries, combining French music and opera. To ensure that it is barrier-free for everyone the programme will be interactive. You will be able to click on the links in the programme, allowing you to follow the music more closely by reading the translations and the artistic and historical context of each work featured in this forthcoming concert.



Paula Garcia del Valle

Born in Seville, Spain in 1992, Paula graduated from the Rimsky Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg (Russia) with the highest qualification, There, her main teachers were Nadezhda Eismont in piano, Sergei Urivaev in chamber music and Elena Spist in accompaniment.


She won awards at the Maria Yudina International Piano Competition in St. Petersburg, at the Competition SCAEM in Granada, at the Ricard Viñes International Piano Competition in Lérida (Prize for the best Spanish performer); and at the International Piano Competition in The Hague, Netherlands (3rd prize).

She has performed concerts as a soloist and accompanist in Russia: Stravinsky Foyer and Prokofiev Hall of the Mariinsky Theater, Rachmaninov Hall in Novgorod, Glazunov Concert Hall, Kshesinskaya mansion, Roerich museum, Academy of Arts, Yaani Kirik in St. Petersburg; in Spain, Aveiro Theatre in Portugal, Mexico (Olimpo Theater in Mérida with the Mexican soprano Arlette Sierra), Colombia (Beethoven Hall), Brazil (Museum of Modern Art, Cervantes Institute of Rio de Janeiro, Culture House in Uberlandia). She is currently part of a musical duet called "Sinaps Duo" with the oboist Sofía Galasova.


In 2017 she made her debut in Aveiro (Portugal) with the Filarmónica das Beiras Orchestra as guest pianist for the closing concert at the Autumn Festival, under the conduction of maestro Luís Carvalho. She has been also invited to perform a Mozart concert with orchestra "Proyecto Mozart" and conductor María del Mar Goyes in Colombia.


 In 2021, she recorded CDs with baritone Zacharias Galaviz Guerra and clarinettist Catalina López for the DAG Klassical label.


Since 2022 Paula Garcia del Valle teachs piano at the Donaustadt Musikschule.


Amelle Parys

Born in Aubervilliers, France in 1993, already began studying music with piano, viola and choir at the age of five at the Conservatoire Départemental du Blanc-Mesnil.


After an internship in artistic and musical direction with the Pasdeloup Orchestra, she joined the Aubervilliers regional conservatory in piano and music theory.


In 2009, she joined Jacques Calatayud's lyric singing class at the Nadia and Lili Boulanger Conservatory in Paris (9th arr.).  After obtaining her diplomas at the Aubervilliers Regional Conservatory in piano and musical culture, she joined a lyric singing programme at the Institut de Chant de Bourgogne and studied with Mr Jean-Pierre Blivet.


During masterclasses, she had the opportunity to i.a. work with Christian Segaricci (conductor), Bojidar Nikolov (tenor), Peter Valentovic (conductor), Sylvie Valayre (soprano), as well as with Jennifer Larmore (mezzo) for whom she sang during the Gala in Luxembourg, organised by the Fondation Nei Stemmen, for which she is a scholarship holder.


Frequently invited to participate in numerous concerts and festivals, such as the Nice festival C'est pas classique, Amelle Parys is looking back at being a finalist in several reputable competitions such as "Jeune Espoir" competition of the Avignon Opera (2015), the Bologna International Competition (2019) and won the 1. Prize at the Ljuba Welitsch competition in Vienna (2018).


Under the patronage of the 
Menuhin Gstaad Festival, she joined the Gstaad Vocal Academy, directed by Silvana-Bartoli, for the 2019 season. Following this, she participated in Menuhin Gstaad Festival that same summer season.


During the year 2020 Amelle was to sing the soprano part of Egmont by Beethoven at the Beethoven Plus Festival in Altausse in Austria and sing the role of Hansel of Hansel & Gretel at the Das Off Theater in Vienna. Unfortunately they were cancelled due to the Covid crisis.


During the 2020 pandemic, Amelle had the opportunity to i.a. work with filmmaker/director Simon Stone, Cyril Teste and director Barrie Kosky on acting credits.

Since 2021, Amelle Parys has been working regularly with the Wiener Staatsoper.

She recently played the role of Berenice and the "Peuple" in Dialogues des Carmélites at the Wiener Staatsoper.

In 2023, She has been making her debut as a comedian and actress on Austria's national stages, and will be appearing in the forthcoming TV series Die Fälle der Gerti B.
 

In 2024, Amelle will be part of Festival Plus Beethoven for Mass "Deo Gratis" (comp. Franz Reichhold) and for the closing concert Mass f-minor (comp. Anton Bruckner).
